photography... a gift or a passion... definitely an art

Ever since I could remember I loved capturing moments on film. Whether it was posing my younger sister in my clothes or taking snap shots at family parties. There’s something about taking a picture that validates a memory.

In January of this year, I decided to take this interest, passion, hobby, what ever you want to call it to the next level and purchased my very own Nikon d90. Oh the joy! Like a kid with a new toy I was. Since then, using different sites to learn from other people and their expertise I've learned a lot - including how much more I need to learn!

I am excited for this venture. I am excited to see where this will lead. It’s already been 9 months and I can see an improvement in myself regarding exposure and composition.

The first two were taken January 8th 2010 - look at that BLUE hue... this was before I realized my white balance was set to fluorescent. Ouch. The third and fourth were taken August 22 2010.  Not perfection, but definitely an improvement.
