Tomorrow, April 24th 2010, marks the day in which your life will be celebrated. And I want the world to know it's not only your life that I wish to celebrate...it's mine also. I wish to celebrate the day I became a mother for the second time. It's an event that has forever changed who I am and what I will become. You see, I believe to be a mother is not a right...rather a PRIVILEGE. You were given to me from the heavens above. You were entrusted to me for me to nourish and protect you through your journey. You were born to me so that I can learn not only how to love again so deeply but how to live with purpose. I gave birth to you so that you could give meaning to me.
Evangelina, your presence in my life is beyond a blessing. Your presence in my life caused a transformation in me that no other can perform. It is through you that I learned to love so deeply - something I didn't believe could happen twice. It is through you that I learned to appreciate the values instilled in me. It is through you that I learned what happiness can truly be. It is through you that I know I can achieve great feats. It is through you that I can acquire the greatest strength to conquer all battles faced. It is through you that I know my life has significance.
As a mother, I myself am still learning about life and how to navigate through it's storms. I appreciate your unconditional love as I make mistakes. I can only hope that you grab from me the strength, wisdom and courage that YOU help me to achieve.
As you embrace this fourth precious year of life I want you to know that I love you more than words can describe. You are an AMAZING child and anyone who crosses your path is blessed to know you. I believe in you with all that I have and you will forever be my favorite girl. Your smile lights up a room more than Sun ever can. Your heart keeps me warm and protected even during the coldest nights. You enter a room and heads turn because the energy you give is not only contagious but invigorating. You will be someone great.
